“North Fork Creek”
Here Nature yet sleeps from winter. Snow-heaped ridges separate this space from the rest of the world - a space with naked trees and last year's dried-out grass, arrayed along a shallow, drowsy mountain stream strewn with rocks along its flat shore. Sky, mountains, water, rocks - no human presence intrudes, except a lone, squat building that seems almost accidental in this natural and harmonious scene. But the sky is turning pink behind the mountains, and soon all will be transformed as springtime comes again.
