Gordon writes about this piece, “This painting will probably be the final release in the Music Room series. The original image is quite large (20 x 25) and I am on the second floor of the Walpole, NH town hall. I was attracted to the lofty ceiling and the huge Romanesque windows and the amazing light that spreads throughout the room. There is a piano and a rug with nothing but the ocean and clouds outside.

The painting on the back wall, by the way, is called “Storm on the Sea of Galilee” by Rembrandt. This work of art has an interesting past, created in 1633, and featuring a self-portrait of the artist. He is portrayed as the man facing the viewer in the foreground. In 1990, this work of art was stolen from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston and has never been returned.
