"Three Down" presents an enviable situation: the incredibly vivid capture of a collection of four bottles of wine invites you to join in on the "one to go." Arvid portrays the depth of story and artistry  through a life lived in the details.

The jagged foil and hastily replaced cork reveal a special moment, while the composition traces a larger span of time by showing the same wine as its label has changed over the years.

In his own words, Thomas Arvid detects "the landscape between people drinking wine together" the element of this landscape, table, corks, glasses, and bottles.......are the essentials of gracious living. With his eye for detail and beauty, Arvid reshapes our perception of the fleeting moments that are our every day lives.
