Based on the lovely Szechenyi “Chain Bridge” in Budapest, Hungary, Alexei’s portrayal captures a time of the evening when the lights on the bridge and buildings contrast dramatically with the beautiful blues of the water and sky.

Speaking of blue, this iconic bridge, with its lions and mythological eagles, spans the famed Danube River, made famous by Johann Strauss II – Blue Danube Waltz.

Of special interest, Buda & Pest developed independently for centuries until they merged in 1873.

The Chain Bridge was built in 1849, enabling the two cities on either side of the Danube to become one.
